If you try to use the self-clean function, a thermal fuse blows in the oven.
Replacing this fuse requires a service call which costs around $150.
The service shops know exactly what to do because they do it so often.KitchenAid admits this problem but refuses to do anything about it.The advice is, don't use the self-clean feature!
However, they also tell you not to use conventional cleansers in the oven either.
I have placed this review on Amazon before and it has been deleted.
Do not buy this product.You have been warned.
